Jamaica - 27 Nov 2005 – Leaving Shoreham Green

Of course, it being our last day, the weather is perfect. The sun has come out, there are only a few white clouds in the sky, and there is a slight breeze.

I spend the rest of the day writing and going for a dip in the pool. This is the best weekend I have had since I got to Jamaica. There is something about floating in the pool and looking up through the palm trees at the beautiful blue sky.

An excellent weekend. The cost was about half the cost of a Hedo weekend, and that includes food. Mike let us drink his booze, provided we did not drink it all. We brought some of our own and left what we did not finish.

If I did it again I would bring a bunch of people and get a driver. Mike, (and everyone who runs a villa) know trustworthy people that they recommend. This is probably the best option for me and the wife. Quiet privacy with the option of doing a bit of travelling.

Villas get the MLWGF seal of approval.

I know. I keep wanting to say “Shoreham Green is people!” too.

Paul Martin's Achilles Heel

Last night Paul Martin exposed his Achilles Heel and Conservatives need to make the most of it. He boasted that the economy is doing great, that the unemployment rate is at historic lows. Well, yes, those people that lost their high paying tech jobs or manufacturing jobs are now working 2 part time jobs or 2 poor paying jobs to keep up with the mortgage. He thinks we don't pay for medicine and we don't get dinged at the dentist's office. His delusion will be his downfall. He is so deluded because he doesn't know what real Canadians put up with because he is a silver spoon sucking rich kid. He is less connected to Canadians that Harper is, and he always tries to appear to be like the common man but he is every bit the priveleged blue blood as Bush is.

Conservatives need to show that it is scarier to have a Prime Minister that doesn't really understand the average Canadians situation than to have a fiscally conservative PM. He may be a good orator, but he's reading a script: he doesn't really understand what the words really mean. He has exposed his delusions and Conservatives need to reach into the facts and expose him.
