Hope for the Girlfriend

Maybe there is hope for the Girlfriend. We were driving in the car today and I was commenting about Canada Post, Andre Ouellette and the developing scandal of his travel expenses, and she made a comment about the waste and corruption of the government. Of course I probably pissed her off by hammering on about the evils of big government, etc. I have to work on that.

Regardless of how far off the "right track" your girlfriend may get, remember that you don't love her for her political leanings . . . and if you do, I think you've got issues that can't be resolved in a mere blog comment! ;-)

Anyway, my wife's father was the many-times-president of the local CCF/NDP riding association, a labour organizer, and had been arrested at least twice when his union was on strike (once for threatening to blow up the plant!). You can imagine how my libertarian arguments weren't too welcome at first . . .

Anyway, I saw you leave a comment on my blog (Quotulatiousness) and decided to come have a quick look at what you've been doing here. Nice work: do keep on posting!

Regards,
Nicholas
